Breath, Health & Pranayama

During the past 20 years of yoga practice my focus was always on Asanas or Postures.  I am happy to say after a visit to Rishikesh and some inspirational yoga instructors meditation is now taking a central role to my self-practice.
A quote that I share today is the following "Through the practice of Pranayama, the energy trapped in neurotic, unconscious mental patterns may be released for use in more creative and joyful activity".
**Asana Pranayama Mudra Bandha, Swami Satyananda Saraswati. Bihar, India.
In my own interpretation this means that what we perceive to be problems are just simple internal disbalances which Pranayama and yoga can solve easily with daily practice!!
I was happy to celebrate my 51st birthday last week and to mark the occasion took selfies and compared the images to my physical appearance 2 years ago!  I am more than pleased with the results of a disciplined "daily yogic routine" and I am keen to share with students for online classes or a yoga studio.  My perception of priorities is to now show others a different way to take care of oneself through meditation and yoga practice.
Namaste,
