Hello I just wanted to share a book that was assigned to all of the students of the Yoga Teacher Training 300 hour course (RYS) @adiyogpeeth in Rishikesh, India

The book is here in the image below..."Asana Pranyama Mudra Bandha" Swami Satyananda Sarasswati.
In just the first page of the book Yoga๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿผ‍♂️๐ŸŒž๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿพ‍♀️ is beautifully defined and explained in a concise way for any reader! This book carefully explains the principle of Hatha asanas their breathing, technique, health benefits and contraindications to prevent injury. Also included are the practices of Pranayama, Mudras๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป, Bandhas and Shatkarma๐Ÿ’ฆ. I can recommend anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge of yoga to add this title to their library or book stand at home!!
 Namaste,
Michael Sands๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿง˜๐Ÿผ‍♂️✨

Quote from Page 1 ๐Ÿค—

"Yoga is not an ancient myth buried in oblivion. It is the most valuable inheritance of the present. It is the essential need of today and the culture of tomorrow." Swami Satyananda Sarasswati.
"Yoga is the science of right living and, as such, is intended to be incorporated in daily life. It works on all aspects of the person: the physical, vital, mental emotional, psychic and spiritual.
The word YOGA means 'unity' or 'oneness' and is derived from the Sanskrit word YUJ, which means 'to join'. This unity or joining is described in spiritual terms as the union of the individual consciousness with the universal consciousness. On a more practical level, yoga is a means of balancing and harmonizing the body, mind and emotions. This is done through the practice of asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, shatkarma and meditation, and must be achieved before union can take place with the higher reality.
